There are very few weddings that are as fun, beautiful and sincere as John and Lauren’s. We had the privilege of shooting their special day and it is hard to convey, even in these images, just how warm and loving these two families were! They got married on the pavilion at the Westin on Ft. Lauderdale beach, which is a beautiful setting with great beach-front access and made for some incredible views during the ceremony. The reception followed downstairs, and was honestly one of the most enjoyable we have shot to date! From the choreographed bridal party dance to the crazy costumes and sincere speeches, we were absolutely having a blast the entire time and felt very fortunate to be a part of the day. We followed up with a trash-the-dress shoot the day after, and will have a full post of those photos coming soon! For now, we really hope you enjoy these!
Here are some of our favorite pictures from Lauren and Aaron’s wedding at First United Methodist Church in Punta Gorda. After meeting Lauren and Aaron, we immediately knew that we would have so much fun shooting their special day. Lauren is very sweet with a great sense of style, and Aaron always keeps everyone laughing. As with most spring weddings in Florida, there was a constant threat of rain, but in the end it turned out to be perfect weather for some great pictures. Lauren’s father delivered the message for her ceremony, which made the whole thing that much sweeter. They also chose to do a “First Non-Look”, which you’ll see below. Aaron must have very strong will power; he was able to keep his eyes closed during the whole thing! We really hope you enjoy these pictures, because they were so much fun for us to take and we feel like they really capture the warm mood and fun spirit of the day. Enjoy!
Stephanie and Dalton are such a sweet couple, and as soon as we started this session it was immediately clear just how in love they are! We had a great time getting to know them while shooting around the downtown Stuart area. Here are some of our favorite pictures from their engagement session.
This is a wedding that is very near and dear to our hearts. Sarah is my best friend and has been since we were both too young to remember. Sarah and Isaac are living in New York, but decided to get married in our home town of Cocoa, FL. They had an absolutely beautiful ceremony in front of the Porcher House in historic Cocoa Village. The wedding was sweet, simple, and so special to everyone in attendance. Although it threatened to rain most of the day, the sky cleared just in time for the outdoor ceremony and everything went perfectly! Daniel shot the wedding as I was in the wedding party (as you can see below! ). We hope you enjoy these pictures as much as we enjoyed celebrating Sarah and Isaac’s special day–we are so happy for you two!
You may recognize Bethany and Brent from the engagement photos we posted a few weeks ago. One great thing about doing an engagement photo shoot is that it allows us to better get to know our clients–and once we found out how Bethany and Brent met (playing soccer), we knew we wanted to incorporate soccer into their engagement pictures. Since we started to run out of light on their first shoot, we decided to schedule another round of pictures–this time featuring a soccer ball and some other fun props. Luckily, the light was perfect for our second shoot and we spent a few hours taking some fun photos in West Palm and on the island. We had so much fun taking these photos and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
Sarah and Louis got married at the Boynton Beach Women’s club, and it turned out to be one of those rare events that truly inspires us. Sarah has wonderful taste, which made our job so much fun as we captured all of the details and the unique character that she brought to life through her creative details and personal touches. The ceremony was wonderful, thoughtful and touching, with an excellent message. The families were a joy, the wedding party was a blast, and the day was just a blessing for us to be a part of from beginning to end. To top it all off, we also got to work with our good friends at Gerilyn Gianna Event and Floral Design! If you are ever in need of event planning or beautiful flowers, visit Geri’s website and see what she has to offer. Anyway, we hope you all enjoy these photos because they are absolutely some of our favorites to date!
Engagement shoots like Bethany and Brent’s are the exact reason why we love when our clients get involved in the session planning process! Bethany suggested we try Boca Raton’s Spanish River Library as the setting, and we’re so glad she did! The area has a great mix of natural and architectural backdrops, and we got lucky with a beautiful Florida sunset. We had so much fun hanging out with the couple, getting to know them, and snapping some great shots along the way–and now we can’t wait for their wedding!
